Post content is processed in real-time and not stored on our servers. It is only temporarily held in memory during processing and then discarded.

4.3 Local Storage

The Extension stores some data locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API:

This data never leaves your device and can be cleared by uninstalling the Extension.

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

6. Premium Subscriptions

DEX - FactCheck AI Agent offers premium subscription plans with unlimited fact-checks:

  • Monthly: $4/month - Unlimited checks
  • Semi-Annual: $20/6 months - Save $4 (1 month free)
  • Annual: $35/year - Save $13 (3 months free)

Premium subscriptions are managed through verification codes. When you activate a premium code, your subscription status is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. This data includes your subscription type, expiry date, and activation date. Premium status is not stored on our servers—it's managed locally for your privacy.

Subscription expiry dates are calculated based on your selected plan and stored locally. If your subscription expires, you'll automatically revert to the free plan (3 checks per day).

7. Privacy-First Mode

The Extension includes a "Privacy-First Mode" option that allows you to enable additional privacy protections. When enabled, the Extension may redact personally identifiable information before sending content for analysis.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about what data we have collected
  • Delete: Request deletion of your usage statistics
  • Opt-out: Disable analytics tracking in Extension settings
  • Uninstall: Remove the Extension at any time, which clears all local data

9. Children's Privacy

DEX - FactCheck AI Agent is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
